About Us

After Public Service careers covering more than 40 years with the Inland Revenue (now HMRC) and almost 20 years with the National Health Service, David and Lorna relocated to the North East of England.
They offer many years of taxation and administration related experience to help local businesses, individuals and professions.
David Saunders
David is in his early 60s and has taken the opportunity to retire early after just over 40 years' service with HM Revenue & Customs, almost half as a Senior Inspector.
During this time he gained a wide ranging professional knowledge, particularly in relation to investigation work. Specific relevant experience includes:–
- International taxation, in particular Transfer Pricing Enquiries.
- Company Enquiry work, both Full and Technical Aspects.
- Unincorporated Business Enquiries, both Full and Aspect.
- Representation on appeals before Commissioners.
- Tutor, training Inspectors in business and corporate taxation.
- Officer in Charge and Senior Management Team responsibilities.
- Internal investigation of discrimination complaints.
Lorna Saunders
Lorna is in her late 50s and has worked in insurance, the wages department of a large industrial company, the Inland Revenue and the NHS, latterly with a Primary Care Trust as a Training Administration Manager.
Apart from specific work related training, she has personally undertaken a bookkeeping course and has a Higher National Diploma in Business & Finance.
She therefore has a wide range of skills and experience which she brings to our consultancy, in particular:–
- Payroll and general personal taxation issues.
- Business management and administration.
- Personnel management, including as harassment advisor.
- Training Administration.
